Deposit

To secure your holiday dates you must complete the online booking form and pay a deposit of £100.
( If there are less than 8 weeks until your holiday, the full amount is due at the time of booking.)
The balance will be due 8 weeks before your holiday begins.
The booking is confirmed once we have sent you booking confirmation by email.
The deposit is non-refundable.
Payment can be made by Cheque or Bank transfer (preferred).

Full payment

The balance of your payment is due 8 weeks before your holiday begins.
If there are less than 8 weeks until your holiday, the full amount is due at the time of booking.
If the balance is not received by the date due on the booking confirmation, we reserve the right to make Esgair Wen Cottage available for re-booking.
Payment can be made by Cheque or Bank transfer (preferred).

Cancellation

If a booking is cancelled prior to final payment the deposit is non-refundable. If a booking is cancelled after final payment we will try to re-let the property. If it is re- let, we will refund you in full minus an administration fee and any financial discounts / offers made in order to secure a new booking.
Once your booking has been confirmed it can only be changed to different dates by treating the original booking as a cancellation.
We may cancel bookings if the property becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control including, but not limited to: flooding, fire, significant damage, failure of utility services or weather damage. In this event we will refund in full any payment you have made. We are not under any other liability if such a cancellation occurs.

We cannot accept liability or responsibility for any alterations, delay or cancellation or any other loss or damage caused by bad weather or any event outside our control.

Access

Esgair Wen cottage is available for occupation from 4pm on the first day of your holiday and must be vacated by 10am on the last day.

Guest conduct

No more than 5 people plus a baby may stay at Esgair wen
We do not allow pets.
You agree to keep the property clean and tidy and will be charged for any damage.
If you commit a serious breach of our terms and conditions we have the right to terminate your booking and may require you to leave the cottage.

Esgair wen is a non – smoking / non – vaping property.

There is a £1 / £2 coin meter for electricity.

***The return of a booking deposit and booking form constitutes an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

*We cannot be held responsible for any 3rd party breakdowns, malfunctions or cuts of utility services such as electricity, water supplies, sewage disposal, although every attempt will be made to remedy a problem where possible should it occur.

COVID-19
We will refund or transfer dates if we are forced to close by the Government and your booked dates are within the dates during which we are closed. We will also refund if you are unable to travel due to a local lockdown in your area.
Please ensure that you follow all Government Guidance on travel if you are unwell before arrival.
With the Government’s new Test & Trace service now in operation, anyone who falls ill prior to their holiday with COVID19 symptoms, who tests positive, or who has been in contact with someone who has tested positive, must self isolate. Therefore, you must contact us immediately to cancel your holiday and NOT travel to Esgair wen. In order to protect the safety of others and our local community, you will not be permitted to isolate at Esgair wen.
As a good will gesture, in these circumstances only, we would offer you the opportunity to move your dates to another time within the next 12 months, subject to availability. Depending on the cost of the new booking, you may have to make an additional payment or you may receive a partial refund. Your new booking will then be subject to our usual Terms and Conditions.

If a guest becomes unwell during their stay we ask that they return to their main residence in line with Government Guidelines. Please inform us if anyone in the party becomes unwell or has a positive test for Covid-19 as this will affect cleaning protocols.

We cannot offer refunds if guests can not complete their stay. Early departure does not warrant a rental decrease.

If a guest cannot reasonably return home (for example because they are not well enough to travel or do not have the means to arrange transport) their circumstances should be discussed with an appropriate health care professional and if necessary the Local Authority. Guests should follow Government Guidance on dealing with possible or confirmed Coronavirus infection. If they are too unwell to travel they will be liable for all the rental for additional time spent at Esgair wen and the costs of any subsequent cancellations incurred.

We urge guests to ensure they have adequate Travel Insurance.

The cottage will be thoroughly cleaned to our usual high standard, however, in line with Government guidelines and the risks posed by the current COVID-19 pandemic, additional sanitization has been implemented.
In order to comply with Government guidelines, we have also had to incorporate some additional routines for guests to follow on their day of departure, including the stripping of beds and emptying of bins. Please see notices in the cottage.
